Aims and Scope
Aging Pathobiology and Therapeutics (APT) is an open access, peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary journal available online, committed to disseminating information on the pathological progression and intervention of aging and age-related disease phenotypes in mammalian species, providing an opportunity to communicate pathology data as a primary scientific focus of aging. Scholars from the disciplines of geriatrics, gerontology, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, toxicology, biology, neuropsychology, psychology, nursing, epidemiology, and genetics are encouraged to contribute articles to the journal. Article types considered include research articles, reviews, editorials, case reports, opinions, letters, abstracts and drug therapeutic brief relating to research on Aging.
The Editorial Board of the Journal comprises a dedicated team of local and international experts in the field of geriatrics, gerontology, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, biology, neuropsychology, psychology, nursing, epidemiology, and genetics. All members of the Editorial Board actively guide and set the direction of the journal. With the aim of promoting effective and accurate scientific information, an expert panel of referees constitutes the backbone of the peer-review process in evaluating the quality and content of manuscripts submitted for publication.
APT follows the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE)'s guidelines and the ICMJE recommendations for the Conduct, Reporting, Editing, and Publication of Scholarly Work in Medical Journal.
Manuscripts submitted must be the original work of the author(s) and must not be published previously or under consideration for publication elsewhere.
